A neon brick breaker game that grows into an idle ball swarm. Fire glowing balls into giant worlds, chain huge combos and hunt down the wild creatures sleeping underneath. Open World or a 60-level Campaign.
Pixel Safari is a neon brick breaker game that turns into an idle ball swarm, and you can play it in your browser. Fire a glowing ball into the rock: every block it breaks turns into glim. Spend glim on more balls, and soon thousands of them are tearing through a world of a million neon pixels in chains of hundreds.
Somewhere inside waits the single Golden Pixel. And the rock isn't empty: giant creatures are sleeping in it. They wake as you dig, follow your balls with their eyes, and bosses reach in to rebuild their walls and steal the Golden Pixel back.
If you like Idle Breakout or classic Breakout and Arkanoid, Pixel Safari takes the same ball-and-brick idea and adds a huge world to dig through, skill trees and bosses.
How to play the brick breaker game
Drag to aim and launch your ball. It bounces through the rock and breaks blocks into glim. Spend glim on more balls and new ball types, learn skills, and keep digging towards the Golden Pixel. You can sit back and watch the swarm work, or aim every shot yourself.
Features
- Open World: a giant neon world, a million pixels of rock to dig through at your own pace
- Campaign: 60 hand-made levels in 6 chapters. Start with one ball, free the balls trapped in the rock, and break each creature's Golden Pixel fast for three stars
- 14 ball types, including Pebbles, Arrows, bouncing Sparks, rolling Boulders, hunting Seekers, Prisms, Comets, Phantoms that pass through stone, exploding Novas, Frost and Vortexes that bend the swarm
- A skill tree for every ball type, and Fusion, which combines powers when balls meet
- Creatures and bosses that wake up, watch you and fight back
- Huge combos, cave-ins and slow-motion moments when something big happens
- Your world is saved in this browser as you play
Tips
- Early on, spend glim on more balls: a bigger swarm earns faster.
- Aim into gaps and pockets in the rock, where one ball can break a long chain.
- Phantom balls pass through stone, so use them to reach the Golden Pixel behind thick walls.
- Learn Fusion: two ball types meeting can be stronger than either alone.
- In the Campaign, free trapped balls first. They're your extra ammunition.
FAQ
What is an idle brick breaker?
A brick breaker where your balls keep breaking blocks on their own. You spend what they earn on more and better balls, so the game speeds up the longer you play.
How do you beat Pixel Safari?
Dig to the Golden Pixel. In Open World it's hidden somewhere in a million pixels; in the Campaign each of the 60 levels has a creature guarding its own Golden Pixel.
Is there an end to Pixel Safari?
The Campaign has 60 levels in 6 chapters. Open World is one huge world with a single Golden Pixel to find, and you can keep growing your swarm as long as you like.
Can I play it online without downloading?
Yes. It runs in your web browser on a computer, phone or tablet and saves your world in that browser.
Do I have to aim every shot?
No. You can let the swarm work and just pick upgrades, or aim each launch yourself.
