How do I play?

Press on the picture and drag along its lines. Draw every line exactly once, in one stroke, without lifting your finger. Went the wrong way? Drag back along the line to take it back. If you lift too early the drawing resets; there are no lives, so just try again. Finish, and the whole picture glows.

What are double and one-way lines?

Later levels add new kinds of line. A double line has to be drawn twice. A one-way line can only be drawn in the direction its arrows point. The Game shows a short tip the first time you meet each one.

How do hints work?

Tap the light bulb. The first hint shows where you can start; the second traces the whole path. You start with 3 hints and earn another for every 4 new levels you finish.

How do I get 3 stars?

Solve a level on your first stroke without using a hint. If you lose up to two strokes and use at most one hint, you get 2 stars; otherwise 1. You can replay any level you have solved from the level map to improve its stars.

What are Daily and Rush?

Daily has a new puzzle every day; solve it on consecutive days to build a streak. Rush gives you 45 seconds to draw as many pictures as you can, and every picture you finish adds 10 seconds to the clock.

Is my progress saved?

Yes, automatically, on your device, including your levels, stars, hints, daily streak and best Rush score. Deleting the app deletes its progress.

Does it need the internet, or have purchases?

No. Trace Once plays fully offline, with no accounts and no in-app purchases.

Can I turn off sound, music or vibration, or change the language?

Yes. Tap the gear for Settings. Trace Once is in English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, German and Japanese, and follows your device's language unless you pick one.
